Time for an update after a long time. The lake is completely frozen in spite of the warm weather. Ice fishermen are out at the East end, but can't trust the ice on the West end except very near the shore. The lake is up about 5 inches in the last two weeks. It's about a foot higher than this date in 2008 and 2009, but a foot lower than in 2007 and 2006. There is below average snow on Mt. Spokane, but it is still early enough that no accurate predictions about summer level can be made. It won't look like the bad years is the only certainty at this time.
The lights and trees are in on Maine Street and look great, especially on a snowy night.
